US ARMY WARRANT OFFICERS’ ASSOCIATION
GOLD RUSH CHAPTER
9800 Goethe Road
(Attention Box 57)
Sacramento, California 95827

The Gold Rush Chapter of the United States Army Warrant Officers’ Association has
a proud history of supporting our local community in addition to supporting veterans of our Armed Forces. Annually we donate over $3,000 to support various charitable causes such as the Sergeants Major/Chaplains Fund, which provides emergency financial aid to Soldiers and Airmen in need; we spend time and provide Christmas gifts to every veteran at the Mather VA Hospital, and we provide over $1,000 in new shoes to children receiving emergency shelter at
the Children's Receiving Home in Sacramento. In 2007 we added the National Teen Leadership Program to our list of charitable causes.

Significantly in 2007 we raised nearly $25,000 in monetary and in-kind
donations, which were used to create the Wall of Heroes, a memorial honoring
members of the California National Guard that made the ultimate
sacrifice in the fight against terrorism. We presented the memorial
to the California National Guard at a dedication ceremony attended by over 60 family members of our fallen brethren and nearly 500 other guests, fellow Guardsmen and veterans. The memorial is located in the lobby of the Joint Force Headquarters located at 9800 Goethe Road, Sacramento, CA 95827, and is open for viewing at any hour. We welcome you to be a guest at one of our monthly meetings and view our website to see the many ways our chapter supports our community.

The Gold Rush Chapter is a tax-exempt nonprofit veterans’ organization organized under 501(c)(19) of the Internal Revenue Code. Our tax ID is 26-1581300. Contributions to the chapter are tax deductible under IRC 170(c)(3).  At least 90% of our members are war veterans and we are organized and operated primarily for the following purposes:

  •  Furthering comradeship among persons who are or have been members of the Armed Forces,

  • Honoring the memory of deceased veterans and members of the Armed Forces and aiding and comforting their survivors,

  •  Encouraging patriotism, and

  •  Aiding hospitalized, disabled and needy war veterans and their dependants.
